Join us as we learn about engineering ethics from Jason Mclean from the Ohio Engineer’s and Surveyor’s Board. The presentation will be on Engineering and Surveying Ethics, Laws, and Rules.

Jason Mclean is responsible for supervision of the Board’s enforcement and investigations unit. This unit is charged with investigating all complaints against regulated individuals, firms and those attempting to practice without a license. Prior to joining the Engineers and Surveyors Board in January 2009 Jason was an investigator with the state of Ohio for eight (8) years. In addition to his eighteen (18) years experience as a state investigator, Jason has (15) years experience as a police officer. Jason brings to this Board extensive knowledge of investigations and interviewing experience and continues to serve as a part-time police officer in Ohio.

Jason earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Toledo in 1998 and has been a member of the Ohio Investigators Association and the NCEES National Law Enforcement Committee. In addition to his duties for the Board and the NCEES National Law Enforcement Committee, Jason provides licensure, enforcement and ethics presentations concerning the practices of engineering and surveying throughout the state. He has successfully completed several advanced courses in investigative techniques, interviewing, interrogation and regulatory enforcement through organizations such as John E. Reid & Associates, Council on Licensure Enforcement and Regulation (CLEAR) and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
